Unfortunately i know your problem, my natural hair colour is black and it is extremely difficult to get decent dye results. I had to bleach my hair in order to get it this colour.
As much as I loved my hair like this, it was very high maintanance. I got black roots very quickly and the red faded a lot. Buying dye products was eating up my finances a lot -.- which is why i now have it in a different style.
