Hunter of Eagles XVII by RaeyenIrael-Stock Hunter of Eagles XVII by RaeyenIrael-Stock

The Long awaited Dunes Shoot.

This was a collaboration shoot with the wonderful *Tasastock at the sand dunes in Formby. The costumes were made by the ever talented Tasa, and are really quite awesome. Even if the shoes turned to mush by the end of the day
We sustained many cuts and bruises, aching muscles, sore wet feet, and sand in places we didnt know we had, to bring you this series. Enjoy.

The body mechanic's in the upper left shot for a off right strike are spot on. Two photo's she can be hiding, or getting up. I agree the bottom right shot is probably not mechanically correct, but in a pinch, fighting for your life you don't always "go by the book". Wonderful work.

Very interesting series yet, as it seems the theme here is a fierceness, I can't help but notice everything horribly wrong with her stances and the way she holds weapons and what not. I mean, I'm no A+ boyscout wild adventurer expert, but it just doesn't sell. She seems easily taken off balance and doesn't know how to handle things.

I little more attention to those kind of details would have been wonderful :)

Well if you'd like to come over and teach me how to handle an axe next time then that would be great.
Other than that i'm a nineteen year old english girl who doesnt REALLY have much experience with tribal weaponary.
But hey. We did our best.

Hey now, I wasn't trying to insult you. It's a learning process.

In a movie, you want your actors to know how to fight, otherwise you can't be drawn in as strongly. So the actors learn some fighting techniques before filming. (Hopefully, movie tickets are pricy...)

It's the same in any art form. So if you're doing a shoot with some spears and axes, google proper stances and what not. I thought it was cool what you did, it's just a suggestion for next time :)
